Frequently asked questions

Does brew time change coffee flavor?

Yes. A brew that runs too quickly may taste weak or sour, while a brew that takes too long may taste bitter, dry or overly heavy.

Should I follow the timer exactly?

Use the timer as a starting point. Bean freshness, roast level, grinder consistency and filter flow can all change the ideal timing.

Why is the cold brew timer so long?

Cold brew relies on a long steeping period because extraction happens slowly at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

The timer provides general brewing guidance. Adjust grind size, dose, temperature and time based on your equipment and taste.
